Ability to disable on-disk metrics.prom file

I would like the ability to disable the on-disk metrics file, as this writes to metrics.prom every 5 seconds and I am trying to avoid unnecessary IO on the SD card it’s running on. Otherwise, an option to change the path would work as well as I would just point it at tmpfs.

you can always symlink metrics.prom to a file in tmpfs

… I can’t believe I didn’t consider this. Thanks.
