Centos 8 / connection drops

Just randomly, I cant connect to my Linux machine (172.25.7.133) from my macpro at
home (172.25.44.43). Ping gives:

PING 172.25.7.133 (172.25.7.133): 56 data bytes

etc.

Sometimes when this happens, ping is completely dead. Other times,
intermittent like this.

I have to solve the issue by ssh’ing into another box. From there I can get into the linux box, sudo reboot,
after which all is working again. For a bit. Today it worked for a few
hours before happening again.

Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Check the CPU% of the Linux box… pretty sure that it’s at 95%-100% when this happens.
Seeing the behaviour on 2 Almalinux boxes as well as on a Raspberry. Full loss of connection with max CPU, a restart of ZT solves it for some time.
