Centos 8 / connection drops

Just randomly, I cant connect to my Linux machine ( from my macpro at
home ( Ping gives:

PING ( 56 data bytes

Request timeout for icmp_seq 1
64 bytes from []: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=2093.088 ms
64 bytes from []: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=1088.943 ms

Request timeout for icmp_seq 5
64 bytes from []: icmp_seq=6 ttl=64 time=2.992 ms
Request timeout for icmp_seq 7
Request timeout for icmp_seq 8

Sometimes when this happens, ping is completely dead. Other times,
intermittent like this.

I have to solve the issue by ssh’ing into another box. From there I can get into the linux box, sudo reboot,
after which all is working again. For a bit. Today it worked for a few
hours before happening again.

Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

Check the CPU% of the Linux box… pretty sure that it’s at 95%-100% when this happens.
Seeing the behaviour on 2 Almalinux boxes as well as on a Raspberry. Full loss of connection with max CPU, a restart of ZT solves it for some time.
