Client connection very bad

Hi all, I’m using a ZeroTier Client on a Cudy Modem/router 4G (OpenWRT os)

Even if the internet connection is very good (speed test is high, ping to google.com never loose a package) the connection between the ZeroTier Client and other nodes is very bad (ping often stops, connection fall down,…)
Some suggestion?
Is there some implicit limit into ZeroTier?

BR

I’ve been having really slow connections lately as well. Have not seen this issue during the past couple of years using the service, so I’m also curious to know if anyone knows if this is a bug, a temporary issue or something more serious.

It’s been like this for at least a few weeks now.

I also having similar problem this week, the connection between nodes not stable, I have been using ZT for 4 years, but this time is different

You’ll want to check if the various network participants are connected through relays rather than directly. Since your client is installed on the OpenWRT directly, it’s probably as close to the internet as it can get (albeit certainly behind the ISPs CGNAT). You can check the state of the connections with the command “zerotiercli peers” and you want to see the LEAF connections (well, ideally all connections) listed as being connected DIRECT and not RELAY. Then it’s a matter of figuring out what available optimisations are to ensure that UDP can get directly to the clients.

I set up ZT a month or so ago, but now I have clients that just fail to route traffic. Only started a few days ago and nothing seems to fix the issue on the disconnected client. They show connected and report no issues, but just can’t talk to anything on the ZT network. Eventually they seem to start working again a day or so later, but it keeps popping up on other devices.
