Control Panel opens and closes instantly (crashing)

Just updated ZeroTier and now (even on a fresh install of windows 10), the “open control panel” option opens a window and closes instantly. Looking at task manager, seems like control panel process is crashing as soon as it starts (I see a quick in and out of werfault too).

Anyone got any solutions? is this a bug in the latest update?

I got the exactly same issue, i don’t find any solutions for now.

I am having the same issue, the service does not seem to be crashing though, just the UI.

yes for sure, but without UI we cant do anything

What version did you update from and to? And any more details about the version of Windows?
I’m not able to reproduce this, except sort of on 32bit windows.

Zerotier 1.8.3. Control panel does not open if microsoft edge is not installed in the system. Discovered this in Server 2016. After installing Edge, the panel is now displayed.

Windows 10 Home (v20H2) and Windows 10 Pro (v20H2), both have Edge preinstalled. Still I downloaded and updated Edge, reinstalled zerotier again - no luck, exact same behavior on both machines, UI process opens and crashes instantly.
