Intermittent packet loss makes zerotier unusable for myself connection NL <-> USA

I am observing a lot of packet loss ~25% while connecting from Netherlands to hosts in USA. Sometimes it is less. Nevertheless, it is not usable at the moment.

I use MacOS and the other hosts run on Linux.

The .config.settings.surfaceAddresses list is stable with three entries.
How can I find out the root cause of the problem?
Cheers

Hello. This sounds like your nodes are using our fallback relay due to an inability to form a direct connection. You can check this by issuing zerotier-cli peers and looking for either DIRECT or RELAY for the other node in question. Try this from both sides.

It could be a firewall issue, a NAT issue, or a combination of the two. See here for more info:

Hopefully that helps. Let us know if you still have issues.

Thanks for hints.

I see that there is the DIRECT link from both sides to each others.

I disabled the device isolation on my WiFi router and it seems to improve the stability.
Now, I see ~10% of packs loss.

4612 packets transmitted, 4159 packets received, 9.8% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 131.597/146.227/667.333/29.798 ms
