Hello, I’ve recently been setting up an OpenThread network. After some work getting ot-br-posix going and configuring my computer to access ipv6 RA messages, I can now route from my main network to my OpenThread microcontroller devices.
The issues being that it wasn’t straight-forward, and that it only allows connections from the single network. This led me to think of how nice it would be if there was some way to have these devices join one of my existing ZT networks.
I don’t know if it would make more sense to add a module to Zephyr, or create a modified border router. Or if anyone else would even be interested in this, but with the release of the Matter standard is seems like it’s only a matter of time (I’ll see myself out) until people will be asking for better IoT connectivity.
