Node address changes after pi image update, new authorization required

I have (2) Raspberry Pi among my zerotier devices and all work fine together. However, when I update the rpi application using an SD image and re-set up the zerotier, it seems the Node Address (not IP address, MAC?) changes. This requires me to (re-) authorize the “new” node and re-assign my preferred zerotier IP address and Node Name. Am I doing something wrong, or can I somehow force/keep the original Node Address? (total Linux idiot)

If you want to retain the same identity, you’ll have to save a copy of /var/lib/zerotier-one/identity.secret and place it back before starting ZeroTier again.

Thanks for the quick reply, I’ll give that a try.
