PiHole DNS w/ Zero Tier

So I created a Linux VM with PiHole and ZeroTier and joined this node to my ZT network. PiHole is configured to listen on this ZeroTier interface and on the ZeroTier networks page, I’ve populated this node’s ZeroTier IP in the DNS field along with a search domain.

When my iPhone connects, I get an IP but in the iPhone app it’s not populating DNS, it’s blank.

Is what I’m asking for not possible? I want my iPhone to connect to my ZT network and use the PiHole for DNS.

I figured it out but it’s not exactly how I thought it would work. I had to manually add “Custom DNS” within the app on my iPhone and now it’s resolving to my onprem PiHole.
