Route issue - cannot remember how to do it

My managed IPs are in the 10.242.0.0/16 range.

I have a VPN server at 10.242.173.139. I have a VPN client at 10.242.232.123. Both are authorized on the ZeroTier panel at my.zerotier.com. I cannot setup port forwarding on the VPN server’s router because I do not have access to it anymore - it is in a different country than me.

I need to make it so that I can have the client connect to the server. So far, I haven’t had any luck with it.

I have made a route of last resort via 0.0.0.0/0 via 10.242.173.139. If memory serves, that route should make it if something isn’t found locally that it would send all traffic via 10.242.173.139.

What can I try to fix the issue? I have access to the VPN server and client via GliNet’s GoodCloud service.

ZeroTier settings for the server:

ZeroTier settings on the client has “Enable ZeroTier” on, Allow remote access to WAN and LAN are off.
