Two machines with the same IP address?

I have two Linux machines. I am absolutely sure that they will never be both turned on at the same time. Is there a way to assign the same IP address in my ZeroTier network to both of them, or even the same ZeroTier id?

The zerotier interface will let you assign the same IP to multiple addresses but I don’t know the ultimate result of this. I would say you’d need a really good reason to do this and take on the potential pitfalls…
