Ubuntu communication problem

I set up a server computer (Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS) to host a local instance of Galaxy (https://usegalaxy.org/). However when I try to access the server from a connected computer I get a time out error.
Both computers are visible on Zerotier central and are online.

The windows computer can ping the Ubuntu but Ubuntu cant ping back unless the windows firewall is disabled.

Even with the disabled firewall I still cant access the server.

I suspect something on the Ubuntu is blocking the connection but I have no idea what it could be.
ufw is disabled = nothing
ufw enabled with tcp/22 and port 8080 (server port) open = nothing.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Windows blocks ping. That’s one part of it. You can enable ping without disabling the firewall.

You may have to configure the galaxy app to listen on zerotier address. I’m not familiar with it.

If you do http: 0.0.0.0 like in Get Galaxy - Galaxy Community Hub, that should work. Maybe restart the webserver.
