Using ZeroTier as a "proxy" for Minecraft Server Hosting on local machine

Hello!

I’m trying to setup my own minecraft server being locally hosted on my machine, currently i am having trouble trying to setup port forward on my network as i am unsure if zero tier even needs port forwarding to launch a minecraft server.

Furthermore we are setting up a voice chat mod that needs a specific port to work but i am unfortunately not able to figure out how port forwarding works from my local machine via zero tier.

Thanks for the help

Hello.
It should work perfectly without any port forwarding, as ZeroTier creates a virtual LAN network.

You only have to make sure everybody has a valid IP address in the network, and that they join using your IP from the ZeroTier network.

Hope this helps.
