It’s important to me why after the redesign, the node only shows the full quantity instead of the online quantity. .
It’s because populating that number on the full list of networks was an extraordinarily expensive operation and causing slow page loads in some cases. Additionally, it doesn’t actually mean what most people think it means.
As for why it doesn’t mean what most people think it means: ZeroTier is peer to peer, so “ONLINE” is relative. All the “ONLINE” and online count means on our web dashboard is that the node has talked to the network controller in the last few minutes. It’s entirely possible that a node is able to reach the network controller while simultaneously unable to reach any other member of the network.
