ZeroTier Desktop UI Crashes and Adapter Disappearance - Need Assistance

I’m encountering some issues with ZeroTier and would appreciate any help you can offer. Here’s a detailed description of my problem:

  1. Background of the Issue: I had previously installed and been using ZeroTier without any issues. However, in the past few days, I noticed that my IP was not being correctly set to the value assigned in ZeroTier networks, instead sticking to an address in the 169.254.xxx range.
  2. Troubleshooting and Attempted Solutions:
  • In an attempt to resolve this, I uninstalled and reinstalled ZeroTier. This led to new problems:
    • The ZeroTier desktop UI software crashes upon attempt to launch and is unusable.
    • When using the ipconfig command, the adapter named “ZeroTier One” seems to have disappeared, thus the corresponding IP address is not visible.
    • Despite these issues, the ZeroTier service itself appears to be running normally, with port 9993 in use as expected.
  • I tried using the dump command to generate some diagnostic information, which I have attached below.
  1. Request for Help: I’m unsure how to resolve this issue. It seems to potentially involve the installation or configuration of the ZeroTier adapter, but I haven’t found a clear solution. If anyone in the community has experienced something similar or knows how to address this problem, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any advice or guidance is welcome.
