ZeroTier doesn't work on Huawei MediaPad M5

Hi,

I’ve installed Zerotier on Windows machines, a Samsung and a Huawei Smartphone, a QNAP NAS. However, on my Huawei MediaPad M5 ZeroTier doesn’t work.
I can use the GUI, join the network, see the network id and name, see my own id, enable the connection, but it just doesn’t work. Also, there is no VPN symbol shown in the status bar.

Battery optimizations are disabled. The device is authorized on the network, too. I reinstalled the app and restarted the tablet already.
