ZeroTier on Windows Server with RAS (Microsoft Remote Access VPN)?

Hello,

I have installed ZT on my windows 2016 server which has server role on it “RemoteAccess”. I use this to VPN inside my office LAN where my server is so that I can access windows shares remotely. This works.

When I install ZT then. it shows as connected and I can see it as Online in ZT central but I cannot ping its IP. I have noticed that in Windows 2016 there is no ZT network adapter at all ? How can that be and report that it is online? Is there a way to force install the adapter and is the RAS role breaking it?

Any ideas?

I have noticed that the network adapter is not installed now and I cannot install it manually. It tells me that it is not a signed driver.
I tried disabling the driver signing in windows 2016 but still does not allow it to be installed… Any ideas?

I have solved my problem this way:

1. Disable windows driver signing using these commands in CMD as admin:

bcdedit /set testsigning on

bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

2. Restart server.

3. Install driver manually.

4. Start ZT again service and app! It works!
