Zerotier slows my MacBook Pro

Hi,

We are using Zerotier to connect into office servers when offsite. When Zerotier is running, my MacBook slows to a crawl. I’ve fully removed and reinstalled it; it happens again. It slows features like predicted email addresses in Mac Mail, but also seems to slow downloads etc.

I assume I am somehow routing everything through the ZT connection, but … how…?

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

Simon

This is may be due to VPNs primarily slow down internet speeds due to the encryption process they use to secure data . When you use a VPN, your data is encrypted before being sent over the internet. This process, while crucial for protecting your privacy and ensuring data security, adds additional steps in the data transmission process.
